When you create an account and use the platform, we collect the following categories of data:

• Account information: full name, email, phone number (for verification), password (stored encrypted — not even we can see it in plain text).
• Profile information: age, gender, occupation/student status, smoking/alcohol use, dietary preference, whether you have children, languages spoken — sharing these is optional.
• Listing content: title, description, location, photos, and preferences you provide in the listing form.
• In-app messaging content (phone number sharing is automatically blocked).
• Technical data: IP address, session information, device/browser information (for security and fraud prevention).

Why We Process Your Data

Your data is processed only to manage your account, publish listings, enable matching/messaging between users, protect platform security (e.g. detecting fake accounts or phone-number sharing), and serve you better. We never sell your data to third parties.

How We Keep You Safe

We've designed the platform with your safety in mind:

• Your phone number is never shown publicly; if you try to share it in a listing, profile, or message, our system automatically detects and blocks it.
• Your profile and listings show only your first name and last initial (e.g. "Elif K."), never your full surname — except to you when you're logged in.
• You can block anyone who bothers you with one click, cutting off their ability to message you or see your profile/listings entirely.
• Posting a listing requires phone verification, which reduces fake and duplicate accounts and keeps the platform safer.
• You can report suspicious or inappropriate listings/users, and our team reviews every report and takes action.

Data Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion, your account is permanently deleted within 30 days; you can cancel the request during that window if you change your mind.

Your Rights

You can access and update your data at any time from your account settings, or delete your account entirely. If you have any privacy concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to us.
